Description Expand and sustain the “Picking up pieces” programme for the protection of refugee children in urban settings in Egypt. This programme also includes specialized and non-specialized programs, life skills program, positive parenting, humanitarian assistance for children in detention, and child safeguarding systems in schools.
Expected Results 1.      Strengthen community based child protection and life skills programming for adolescents in areas featuring high risks of irregular migration


2.      Put in place a child protection mechanism in schools of high risk areas ensuring participation of adolescents, parents and school staff in creating a protective environment in communities


3.      Create a national referral mechanism to respond to irregular migration and trafficking of adolescents.

Target Beneficiaries –          Adolescents and children (boys and girls aged 10-12)

–          Vulnerable Egyptians, refugees, migrant’s children and adolescents (70% Egyptians and 30% any other nationality)

–          Parents (70% Egyptians and 30% any other nationality)
