In view of the foregoing, the project developed vocational and handcrafts skills of women in 12 villages located in Middle-Upper Egypt’s governorates (Beni Swaif, Fayoum, Assyut, Sohag and Aswan). A preliminary market study was conducted in order to identify the markets needs and the market absorption capacities of various possible items to be produced by the women. Contemporarily, women were supported in learning literacy and numeracy, as well as correct hygienic behaviors for the children well-being. Access to small credit and technical facilitating support was made available, so that women can concretely produce and market their products.
